Dr. Alistair Rowcroft is an Australian-trained General Surgeon, with extensive subspecialty training in Hepato-biliary surgery and gastro-intestinal endoscopy.

Dr. Rowcroft has a wealth of experience in the management of complex disorders of the liver, pancreas and gall bladder. In addition to surgery, he is an accomplished endoscopist, with expertise in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP.

Read more about Dr. Rowcroft After undertaking medical school and working as a junior doctor in Western Australia, Dr. Rowcroft pursued his General Surgical training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Victoria. Dr. Rowcroft thereafter completed the ANZ Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) Fellowship program at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Perth’s Fiona Stanley Hospital. To further extend his practice Dr. Rowcroft then relocated to the United Kingdom for the prestigious Liver Transplant Fellowship at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, before returning to Perth to start consultant practice at Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Fees
The costs for outpatient clinic visits are not covered by private health companies. These costs are predominantly covered by the patient out-of-pocket, with a proportion paid by Medicare. The cost for a first appointment is $250, with any follow ups after surgery costing $100 each. It is normal to have at least one follow up with Dr. Rowcroft after surgery.
